The University of Chicago IFCK team has been collaborating with our IFCK partner at Children's Memorial Hospital (CMH), Cook County Hospital (CCH), and others on the Stop the Falls project. This is a city-wide effort to organize a community coalition and reduce the risk of window falls among children. We have worked together in the development of a fact sheet, a brochure, public education through flyers in electric bills and passage of a Chicago City Council resolution in support of the Stop the Falls iniative. Dr. Karen Sheehan and Dana Wiltsek (PI and coordinator respectively of IFCK Chicago at CMH)have presented this information before city and state housing related committees.
