Call for Abstracts

Online Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is now closed.

Before submitting, please read the information below carefully, and review the abstract writing tips and samples of accepted abstracts.

Injury Free Coalition for Kids® is accepting abstracts for Forging New Frontiers, the Coalition's Annual Conference, to be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, December 3-5, 2021.

All abstracts on the topics of intentional and unintentional injury prevention will be considered for podium or poster presentation. Special consideration will be given to abstracts pertaining to consumer product safety and gun safety. For original research and program evaluation, only abstracts with complete data will be considered for review. The Scientific Publications Committee may invite selected abstracts to be submitted as a full manuscript for publication in a supplemental edition of Injury Epidemiology.

The Scientific Publications and Awards Committee will present awards at the Conference for the best original research abstract, best program evaluation abstract, best abstract presentation, and best presentation by a trainee first author.

Submitted abstracts should be no more than 500 words total, including title and authors. The abstract body should include the following sections:

Deadlines

Failure to follow abstract instructions may be cause for rejection. Abstracts will be acknowledged electronically within 48 hours. If you do not receive acknowledgement, then your abstract has not been received. For those and other questions, please call 816-651-7777.

Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Cincinnati Children's and the Injury Free Coalition for Kids at the Columbia Center for Injury Science and Prevention (CCISP), Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. Cincinnati Children's is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
