August 28, 2006 - Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Cincinnati
Wendy Pomerantz, MD, associate professor, Emergency Medicine, has been appointed by Governor Bob Taft to the Ohio Emergency Medical Services Board. Her two-year term began in February 2006. She is the only pediatric representative on the board.
Pomerantz was nominated by the Ohio AAP, which also appointed her as chair of the Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Committee. She served previously on the Ohio AAP Committee on Injury and Poison Prevention and represented the Ohio AAP on a state commission studying how to prevent traumatic injuries. Pomerantz is co-director of the Injury Free Coalition for Kids in Greater Cincinnati.
