Program/Event Details:
We hosted a multi-activity safety lab for patients and staff at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. We had several tables set up in a common area, and subject matter experts to teach about different injury prevention topics. We had a spin-the-wheel set up to give out prizes as well. The topics and activities included:
Safe Infant Sleep: Clear the Crib competition Dog Bite Prevention: Hospital therapy dog was visiting and there was a coloring page for kids Poison Prevention: Poison Control table set up with information and resources LifeFlight: Table set up with video about their helicopter and hearing protection information Car seat safety: Car seat & doll for kids to practice buckling baby Bike helmets: We fitted kids with bike helmets and they had a paint page to take home
