Program/Event Details:
Every year, more than 2,200 children die from injuries that happen at home. Every parent wants their children to grow up healthy and safe. Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, the only children's hospital in the State of Hawaii, understands children deserve to feel safest at home. Kapiolani Medical Center will be providing Ohana Safety kits to families (in-patients and out-patients) that will include a home safety device, educational materials for both parents and young children, and an age-appropriate item for children to enjoy. Staff at Kapiolani Medical Center will be encouraged to WEAR GREEN on NIPD 2023.
