Program/Event Details:
We continue to offer FREE virtual workshops in 2022. The virtual sessions are in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Bengali and they are open to the community to attend. A certificate will be provided at the end of the session. These trainings are offered for community organization staff through a four-module series on environmental home health topics. Our ABCs of Environmental Home Health Hazards training series is open to community organizations and agency staff working or caring for children and families. Our Creating Healthy Homes for Older Adults training series is open to community organizations and agency staff working or caring for older adults. Topics include:

Lead Poisoning Prevention and Local Law 1 Beyond Lead Paint: Consumer Products with lead Mold and Moisture and Local Law 55 of 2018 Preventing and Controlling Mice, Roaches, and Bedbugs Safely Mosquito Bite Prevention Fire Safety and preparing for emergencies Stop, Think, Act: How to Recognize and Avoid Scams Nutrition: Mealtimes with Young Children Data Portal: Know Your Neighborhood Falls Prevention in the Home Medicine Safety and Poison Control These trainings are a great opportunity for professional development for community service providers.
