Program/Event Details:
We are hosting a FREE event for pre-teens, teens, parents and guardians of teens. There will be information, education, and resources on Roadway Safety, Firearm Safety, Violence Prevention, Fentanyl Medication Safety, and Suicide Prevention. The event will be held November 16th at Charlie's House (2425 Campbell St., KCMO) anytime between 10a-2p.
The event touched the lives of several Kansas Citians, ages 10-72 years, parents, teens, several new to Charlie's House. Partnerships with local organizations, including Aim 4 Peace, Grandparents for Gun Safety, and BE SMART were strengthened as a result of the event. Feedback noted attendees learned most from the seat belt simulator experience and presentation on head injury prevention.
