Program/Event Details:
School Board Vice Chair and member At Large Debbie Hixson has invited Giffords Gun Owners for Safety , in conjunction with Injury Free Coalition for Kids, to proclaim November 18, 2023, as National Injury Prevention Day at the October 17, 2023, School Board Meeting at KCW Building in Ft. Lauderdale. I have to submit the request to both Giffords and the School Board for approval in the very beginning of October. I will be present to accept the Proclamation, however I don't want to be there alone. I am requesting representation from all of your sponsors and members. The meeting starts at 8:00 AM. The meetings are broadcast to the public at visit https://www.becon.tv/live-stream to watch the meeting. This will be a valuable event to spread awareness of injury prevention. The board meetings have large attendances. The Proclamation will be on the Agenda and Minutes which are seen by every Broward County School. Afterwards, I can share the Proclamation with news media prior to the Nantional Injury Prevention Day.
