Program/Event Details:
We participated in a virtual class hosted by community-based organization, El Nido de Esperanza, the facilitator (Kimberly Polanco) presented to a client group of young mothers about Safe Sleep. The presentation included a discussion on what is "Safe Sleep" and how families can ensure they are practicing it with their babies. Injury Free at CHONY followed up with a car passenger safety training with an emphasis on the different types of car seats and use and misuse. The class was from 10:00 - 12:00 PM. With this collaboration, we strengthen the Coalition's partnership with the CBO.
