Program/Event Details:
Residents of the Longfellow Neighborhood Association were given green light bulbs to show their support for injury and violence prevention. The bulbs were distributed from Charlie's House, a home built to teach people about home safety. It was constructed following a furniture tip over took the life of 2-year-old Charlie Horn. With an appointment, while there they can learn about tools, they can use to make their homes safe. Thirty-two homes shined a green light on National Injury Prevention Day. Charlie's house joined the houses in the neighborhood and lit up green.
