Program/Event Details:
A community event was scheduled at Explora, a children's science museum in Albuquerque, NM from 10 - 5pm. The event included 10 different departments or organizations including Think First, the UNM Prevention Research Center, the UNM Poison Center, Safer NM Now, the UNM Dept of Pediatrics, the Albuquerque Fire Department and the Albuquerque Police Department. Approximately 30 people staffed the event which provided approximately 30 bike helmets, 18 gun locks, 40 infant wearable blankets, and other safety information, equipment and devices. The event also provided fire safety demonstrations, car safety seat demonstrations, and other awareness materials. Approximately 100 families attended.
