National Injury Prevention Day 2023

Community Programs and Events

Program/Event Details:
On November 17th from 9am-2pm, our Trauma Services team set-up display with various topics of injury prevention. By tabling within the Children's Hospital, we were able to provide over 300 families with knowledge and free education resources on many injury prevention topics, including the following:

• Child passenger safety • Pedestrian safety • Bike & helmet safety • ATV safety • Burn prevention • Choking prevention • Safe sleep

Resources were provided by various safety partners including Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Traffic Safety Administration, and the UF Child Protection Team.
