SAVIR launched its #SAVIRscientists social media campaign on Twitter starting the Monday before National Injury Prevention Day. All week the campaign highlighted those who are saving lives through injury & violence prevention science. The images included photos of the scientist, 1-2 sentences of their research areas, and a link to their faculty/staff webpage so readers can learn more about them. On the image was "Faces of injury & violence prevention science" and "Injury science saves lives." SAVIR hopes to continue the campaign through out the year. Over 30 injury & violence prevention scientists around the country were highlighted November 15 - 18, 2021 on the SAVIR Twitter account. These posts were shared widely by the SAVIR community.
