Program/Event Details:
The UI IPRC collaborated with students from the University of Iowa College of Public Health for a podcast episode for National Injury Prevention Day. The student-run podcast, "From the Front Row," talks about major issues in public health and how they are relevant to anyone. The podcase welcomed Maggie Ferguson, Lisa Roth, & and Clare Willey. Maggie has had over 17 years of experience working in disability services and is currently the Brain Injury and Disability Program Manager for the Iowa Department of Public Health and is the President-Elect for the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators. Lisa has a background in community health education and more than 15 years of experience in the field of public health and injury prevention, she currently serves as the Deputy Director of the University of Iowa’s Injury Prevention Research Center. Clare is in her final year of the Master of Public Health Program in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, and she’s completing a practicum with the Iowa Department of Public Health in the Office of Disability, Injury, and Violence Prevention.
