Director, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Miami
Oneith Cadiz, MD, is an ABP board-certified general pediatrician and assistant professor at the University of Miami, beloved by her patients and colleagues alike. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where she also completed her pediatric residency. During this time she served as chief pediatric resident. Her approach to pediatrics models her approach to life, comprehensive (inclusive of injury prevention) and generous with compassion. She is an award-winning educator and well-recognized mentor in undergraduate and graduate medical education for a decade. Recently she was selected from among her peers to serve as a NextGen educator. Her mentorship of residents includes advocacy work in injury, including firearm injury prevention. Oneith continues to advocate for her patients both in the clinic and in the community where she serves on the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Community Action Group and Case Review Team
