Injury Prevention Manager, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Phoenix

Angelica is the program manager of injury prevention at Phoenix Children’s, one of the fastest-growing pediatric health systems in the country. With nearly two decades of experience in injury prevention, Angelica oversees the outreach activities of helmet and wheeled sports safety, water safety, home safety, safe sleep, behavioral health safety, child passenger safety and teen driving safety.

Angelica has been a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician since 2006 and a trained Special Transportation for All Children (STAC) technician since 2008. Her longstanding commitment to injury prevention is reflected in her success securing grant funding to expand these critical programs. She also pioneered the inpatient consult program, ensuring that patients and families receive vital education following an injury.

Angelica is a graduate of the University of Arizona, holding a bachelor's degree in history. Her passion for creating safer environments and empowering communities with knowledge and resources continues to drive her impactful work.
