Children's Hospital Colorado has a the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in the seven-state Rocky Mountain Region at the Anschutz Campus, and a level-2 pediatric trauma serving the children of Southern Colorado. Our site rejoined Injury Free Coalition for Kids in 2021. We have researchers participating in multi-center research studies. Our Injury Prevention Team engages children and their families in programs related to child passenger safety (conventional and adaptive needs), bike and pedestrian safety, poison prevention, firearm injury prevention and more both inpatient and in the community. We also operate a Safety Store at the Anschutz Campus where families can purchase items to keep their children safe in the car, at home, and at play.
