The Safety Leader Training Program changes beliefs/practices regarding injury prevention using social influence and diffusion from mid-level/informal community leaders to the community at large. By educating key community figures on the preventability of injury, the project will impact several peer groups or networks as these leaders begin to educate their family members, neighbors and friends and model injury prevention strategies to others. Monthly sessions cover topics such as fire safety, helmet use, safe driving, and domestic violence prevention.
