The D.W.I./die classroom curriculum targets the problem of underage drinking and impaired driving by educating ninth and tenth grade students on the correlation of their decision-making abilities and negative consequences such as injury or prosecution. The four-session curriculum, developed by the South Texas Injury Prevention and Research Center with high school teachers and teens, delivers age and culturally appropriate messages about avoiding risky behaviors.
