YNH Hospital Violence Intervention Program - Our Hospital Violence Intervention Program (HVIP) fosters collaboration between hospital providers and community resources to advance trauma-informed case management services for victims of violence at Yale New Haven Hospital. Hospital Violence Intervention Program provides targeted case management services to victims of violence. Services and referrals include; Victims assistance coordination via the Victims of Crime Act, Mental health service coordination including brief trauma-focused therapy, Coordination of medical follow-up for injuries, Coordination with community-based services for employment and educational advancement, and referrals and coordination with the community-based services for food, clothing and legal advocacy.
